Overtake Rush 3D: Car Game

Overtake Rush is a stylized, single-player arcade driving game. Designed with a streamlined control layout, the game simplifies the endless driving genre by focusing strictly on overtaking other vehicles. Instead of using complex steering wheels, gyro inputs, or split-pedal controls, the game uses a highly responsive, one-touch mechanic. Players view the action from a bird's-eye perspective: holding down a finger on the screen triggers high-speed acceleration to overtake NPC traffic, while releasing pressure slows down the vehicle to match surrounding traffic speed.

The game’s progression depends on driving through heavy traffic under tight constraints. Players are rewarded for executing high-risk, near-miss overtakes at the last possible second, which generates score multipliers and in-game currency. The application features diverse environmental settings, ranging from busy city streets to scenic countryside roads, keeping the casual gameplay fresh. Progression rewards are spent in the garage, where players can buy and upgrade sports cars, muscle cars, and trucks to improve top speed and handling.

From a technical perspective, the low-poly 3D graphics engine delivers highly satisfying visual feedback and crash physics. However, some steering and physics issues emerge at extreme velocities. When driving high-performance cars at maximum upgrades, the physics engine can struggle to calculate lane-shifting drift, leading to buggy or unresponsive handling near the far-left lane borders. The core gameplay loop is also highly linear, meaning it is best suited for quick, casual sessions rather than extended, deep gameplay.
