Beach Buggy Racing represents a significant evolution in mobile kart racing, acting as the direct sequel to the highly successful Beach Buggy Blitz. Built upon Vector Unit’s proprietary Vector Engine and integrated with NVIDIA's PhysX technology, the title delivers high-fidelity 3D graphics and complex physical simulations that rival historical console alternatives. The rendering pipeline effectively handles real-time dynamic lighting, shadow mapping, and soft particle effects for dust and water splashback, providing a visually engaging experience across various screen resolutions.

The primary progression system is centered around a multi-tiered Career Mode divided into nine distinct series, encompassing over fifteen imaginative tracks such as dinosaur-infested jungles, lava-spewing volcanoes, and mysterious swamps. To progress, players must earn stars by placing in the top three in various event types, including standard Grid Races, Elimination rounds, and specialized modes like Stampede and Follow the Leader.

The gameplay loop is further distinguished by its driver recruitment mechanic. Defeating rival boss characters in one-on-one matches unlocks them as playable drivers, each bringing a unique active ability—such as McSkelly’s defensive shield or Rez's speed boost—which can be triggered once per race to alter the outcome of a match.

The combat engine is supported by twenty-five unique, physics-based power-ups. The trajectory, impact, and defensive capabilities of these items are calculated in real time, requiring players to understand track design and item physics to maximize their effectiveness. It supports accelerometer, touch, and Bluetooth controllers.

Despite these strong core mechanics, the game’s progression and monetization structures present some challenges. The inclusion of an energy-gated ticket system restrictively limits consecutive play sessions, as tickets are only refunded upon securing a first-place finish. Furthermore, technical instability during ad-rendering loops occasionally causes memory fragmentation and client crashes, which can erase rewards and consume tickets without giving players credit.
